Full job description

Your new company
This not-for-profit organisation provides community mental health services in Tasmania. They are one of the largest organisations in our state providing person centred recovery and wellbeing services. They are looking for a People and Culture Business Partner to join their team in Hobart.

Your new role
Reporting to the P&C Manager, this position will see you support the delivery of high-quality People and Culture activities, advice and support. You will work with the organisation to deliver key people and culture functions, including recruitment and employee life cycle management, support the delivery of people and culture strategy and direction and provide advice and support to stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Recruitment, Induction & Onboarding processes
  • Provide IR/ER advices
  • Manage the employee-lifecycle activities
  • Provide sound advice on complex or sensitive people issues consistent with established legislation, principles, and guidelines
  • Set, manage, and review training agreements
  • Look for opportunities to maximise efficient use of HR information system
  • Support the development and maintenance of a workforce capability framework

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualification in HR or IR
  • Demonstrated expertise and track record working in HR roles
  • Ability to work effectively with and provide advice to stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NDIS and the Quality and Safeguarding framework would be advantageous, however not essential
  • WWVP check or ability to obtain
