We are currently seeking a child care room leader to join our team at Kids Academy Early Learning Centre & Out Of School Hours Care. The position is full time. For a successful candidate an annual salary of $54,000 to $60,000 + super will be offered.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate programs for the children in care.
- Maintain up to date and accurate records of individual children’s progress and observations.
- Provide responsive care to the children based on their interests and needs.
- Maintain ongoing communication with children’s parents and caregivers.
- Collaborate with childcare staff and family to ensure that the program promotes children’s learning and is in accordance with the service philosophy and learning outcomes.
- Responsible for providing support, guidance and motivating other childcare staff at the service to achieve the best learning outcomes for the children.
- Keep up to date with current information, curriculum and practices in early childhood education and provide this to other childcare staff.
- Ensure compliance with establishment guidelines and OH&S policies to guarantee a safe environment for the children in care.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Hold relevant qualifications
