Top End Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service has an opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse Specialist to join the Forensic Mental Health Team at Nurse 4 level. To be successful in this role you must have: 1. Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligible for same. 2. Demonstrated highly-developed specialist clinical knowledge and skill, including problem identification and solution, analysis and interpretation of clinical data, and implementation of innovative and effective client care. 3. Demonstrate and promote a learning environment through clinical support, instruction, and feedback, including mentoring students, graduates and less experienced staff across the multidisciplinary team. 4. Experience contributing to the development and implementation of local/regional policy, including interpreting established professional precedents and organisational policies and supporting change management. 5. Demonstrated use of effective communication skills to influence and convince staff and clients including sensitive matters requiring tact and diplomacy, for example to accept a difficult situation or negotiate conflict resolution. 6.
