Top End Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (TEMHAODS) has an opportunity for a Specialist Mental Health Worker to join the Child and Adolescent Team at Professional 2 level.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Qualification in Psychology and hold registration to practice as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated, recent clinical experience in the mental health assessment, treatment and rehabilitation methods appropriate to children and adolescents.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current issues, standards and trends in the delivery of mental health services to the target population.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, carers and other professionals from diverse cultural backgrounds and to prepare written reports of a high standard, and in the use of electronic information systems for the maintenance of clinical and service delivery records.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, engaging in ongoing professional development and contribution to professional peer consultation.
