The Business
We provide the reliable, professional and customer-focused services within the plastering industry. Working with the most skilled, proficient and educated plasters in Melbourne, we specialise in offering the full range of plastering services and products for new homes and multi-unit developments, whether residential or commercial.
The Role
Due to our business growth, we are currently seeking a full-time experienced Accountant to fulfill the following duties and tasks:
- Prepare Business Activity Statements, GST returns, PAYG Report for the business and associated entities;
- Prepare Fringe Benefit Tax, Tax Payments and Returns, Annual Report and other financial statements for the business and associated entities;
- Assist in formulating budgetary, cash-flow management and forecasting;
- Provide advice and guidance on corporate group accounting policies and procedures as per the business and the industry practice;
- Analyse and review project status and assist in maintaining budgets of individual job;
- Monitor payments and claims to ensure the business’s contractual obligations are properly met;
- Analyse and summarise current financial status for the business and associated entities to discern financial discrepancies and potential risks of financial control;
- Organise accounting entries and compliance-based auditing;
- Produce accounting information and keep the corresponding record;
- Other duties as directed by the Directors.
The Candidate
A successful candidate shall possess the following qualification, skills and experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting;
- Ideally not less than 3 years in-house accounting experience in the plastering or building industry;
- Profound knowledge in corporate accounting relevant policies and regulations
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Proficiency in office and accounting software
- High self-motivation and ability to time management
