They have a new and exciting role for a Category / Contracts Specialist to be based in one of their high-profile facilities South of the River.
About the Role
- This key role you will see you support the infrastructure and facilities category portfolios (although this may change) to ensure value delivery and management across the entire contract lifecycle.
- Proactively leading the strategic sourcing activities for one or more categories of spend, with the goal of achieving significant initial cost reductions, while maintaining/improving product quality and vendor service levels.
- Working closely with key stakeholders to facilitate effective value creation strategies and associated implementation plan
- Continuously evaluate and identify efficiency recommendations surrounding vendor performance and the procurement framework.
- Working closely with key stakeholders to develop effective cost reduction strategies and associated implementation plans
- Manage, deliver and guide a category portfolio that will perform all contract lifecycle activities and establish competitive whole of life arrangements to exceed objectives
- Continuously evaluate the procurement framework and procedures that align with the contract lifecycle strategic framework, making improvement/efficiency recommendations.
About You
- Experience in an end to end Category Management with a thorough knowledge of contract lifecycle strategic frameworks and experience.
- Strong financial acumen project management and negotiation skills
- You will be capable of thinking outside the box and have the ability to influence to achieve exceptional outcomes.
