About Maxima Group Training

Maxima is a not-for-profit national employment services and training organisation, working in partnership with small and large businesses across Australia. We have a successful 30 year history delivering employment outcomes for people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, with approximately 280 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders currently placed in Indigenous Traineeships.

The Opportunity

This position provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders an opportunity to engage with their local community as a Bank Teller. As the face of Westpac Bank, you will provide customer service, conduct banking transactions, assist with general enquires and market Westpac products and services.

National traineeship wages and conditions apply.

Duties:

  • Provide face-to-face customer service in branch to personal and business customers
  • Pitch sales of Westpac Group products and services and refer specialist enquiries
  • Produce financial reports, transaction summaries and balance sheets
  • Assist management and team with daily administrative tasks
  • Conduct banking transactions, cash handling and EFTPOS

Skills and Experience:

  • Focus on achieving sales targets and exceeding KPIs
  • Have a sound mathematical and financial acumen
  • Exhibit a passionate and positive work attitude
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Ability to utilise financial computer software and systems
  • Great verbal and written communication abilities
