This not-for-profit organisation provides community mental health services in Tasmania. They are one of the largest organisations in our state providing person centred recovery and wellbeing services.
Your new role
Reporting to the executive level, this role forms part of a dedicated Senior Management Team. The role will be responsible for managing the Quality and People teams. This role will see you developing and implementing contemporary strategies and practices that build organisational capabilities and strategic Plan. The role has a focus on the provision of expert HR and IR advice including the interpretation and application of employment law, managing complex HR and IR matters and supporting managers across the breadth of the employee lifecycle. The role will see you lead and inspire a small team.
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Actively participate in developing and maintaining a people and culture strategy and quality framework
- Assisting with the implementation and business process improvement of the HR Information System
- Oversee recruitment and onboarding
- Lead, direct and integrate Quality Systems across the organisation
- Support efforts to embed values across the organisation
- Lead the Diversity & Inclusion Approach and the Reconciliation Action Plan
- Support the creation of new and/or update existing business processes and quality documentation
What you'll need to succeed
You will hold tertiary qualification in HR or IR and will be able to demonstrate expertise and a track record in delivering HR and IR strategies. You will have exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively manage relationships across the organisation and externally with a diverse range of people. Knowledge and understanding of the NDIS and the Quality and Safeguarding framework would be advantageous, however not essential.
