SACARE is currently looking for a casual After-hours Service Coordinator to join the team. The Rostering/ Scheduling Coordination Team provide a 7 day/week, 24-hour service, connecting clients with our exceptional network of Disability Support Workers.

As a member of this team, you will be at the forefront of communication, building and maintaining relationships with both our clients and the broader SACARE workforce. This role requires you to be flexible with your availability as we have shifts available all over our 7 day/week, 24-hour roster.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Scheduling and facilitating support services to a complement of community-based clients.
  • Maintaining effective and ongoing working relationships with clients through the delivery of exceptional service.
  • Fostering meaningful relationships with clients’ families and significant others to ensure the needs of the client are suitably being met.
  • Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with the Disability Support Workers providing front-line care services to clients in the community.
  • Maintaining confidential and accurate documentation and records in relation to the provision of clients' care, preferences and relevant service delivery information.
  • Escalating issues in relation to service delivery and client care to relevant clinical and/or management bodies when required.
  • Collaboratively problem-solving and presenting effective solutions to advocate for clients to ensure their needs are suitably met.
  • Daily administrative, data-entry and supportive functions upon direction from the Line Manager.

What you’ll need to be considered for the role:

  • Previous experience in a comparable scheduling position, or equivalent.

  • Evidenced experience in a scheduling environment, including the ability to complete required allocations accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Excellent administrative, time management and organisational skills.

  • Demonstrated experience working within the Disability sector (or Community Services sector), including knowledge of NDIS and DHS standards.

  • Understanding of current Disability-related legislation, policy and standard operating processes.

  • Understanding of relevant industrial instruments used within the Disability sector and capacity to apply provisions detailed in an appropriate manner.

  •  Ability to work collaboratively and influence a range of internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously whilst using initiative and problem-solving abilities.

  • The high degree of professionalism, optimism and resilience.

  • Available for after-hours and possible weekend shifts

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with individuals from all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.

  • Current unrestricted Driver’s License

  • NDIS Workers Check or are willing to obtain

  • DHS WWC Clearance or willing to obtain

  •  Fully COVID19 Vaccinated
